The Lord Jesus was not the Son of Joseph
The Scriptures tell us a number of times that, despite being born of a woman, the Lord Jesus was not the son of Joseph - but He was the son of God. Consider how the following passages all emphasise that He was the son of God, and the son of Mary ... and not the son of Joseph.
I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed (Genesis 3:15)
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (Isaiah 7:14)
And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.(Matthew 1:16)
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)
And she [Mary] brought forth her firstborn son (Luke 2:7)
And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli (Luke 3:23)
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman (Galatians 4:4)
